North and South Walls Up to Roof - North Corner Half Way

Sunday 14 November 2010 - -

Benniboy got dropped off by Papa John at 11.30am. We deployed to the wilder in the fiesta. It started raining lightly, not too much to hinder our wilder activities, but hopefully enough to warn off muggles.

The treehouse was slightly wet. We collected some planks from the level 2 storage area. Then continued the main north wall. We had to use the blocks for the last few planks. Just before we put the top plank on, a threesome of muggles came, one of them even applauded our handy work.

The wall is straight - camera's slanted

We then went on to the left north corner, it was very low and needed to be higher - for protection. We snapped some planks, using a gap in the tree. We were then able to hammer them in from the inside. We got them up to almost head height, plenty of protection now.

We then got some short planks. We added them on to the south wall. for the last 2 Benniboy did a Jackie Chan maneuver in to a gap on the side. We used a wider plank for the top and it fit perfectly.

Next we removed the wonky stick from the hatch area. Upon its removal Benniboy smacked his hand into the floor, causing him to scrape a chunk out of his left knuckle.

We replaced the stick with a strong structure plank. We are planning to have 2 planks here, ready for the hatch. We put the lower one in, used triangle formation with the 65's.

After doing this we couldn't do much else without the harness and the other nails. We are planning to start the east stick wall. We will place a structure plank in the middle and then have planks on each side.

It was about 1.45pm. Benniboy placed the wide planks over the gap in the roof, this completed the roof temporarily. We descended. We were just exiting, then remembered we needed to take picutres of the outside.

We then deployed home, Nh gave Benniboy a lift for the last time hopefully, as the miata should be back on Tuesday.
