Treeswingboys complete new roof structure

Saturday 29 January 2011 - -

Benniboy got 2 packs of 100mm nails. We entered the wilder and continued the last few small beams. We only had a weak headlight and the dodgy torch. So after an hour we went and got the newest headlight, which was a lot brighter.

When we were walking back from the car, there was a dog walker near the lower entrance, even though it was dark now. We slowly walked and then they were gone up the path, we snuck into the wilder once again.

The newer headlight was so much better. We went back up the treehouse and finished off the small beams. The last structure was between the south structures, it was a snug fit and had to be hammered in place. It was then nailed in using triangle formation, from perpendicular angles.

We had finished the new roof structure, Benniboy climbed up and sat on it, it felt extremely sturd. It looks very professional and well spread out. It is all level and will provide superior support for the floor boards.
