Preparation for the third

Sunday 18 December 2011 - -

Today the treewingboys went down to the wilder at 2.45pm. It was a crisp winter afternoon, the ground was moist and slightly slippery. We brought the footballs for some quick training before the return of the third treeswinger.

First we went to check on the treeswing tree, this would be the first time in the daylight, since the beginning of the sawing. We walked up to it anddidn't really notice anything different. We had pulled the tree down the slope a good amount and pruned it well, it seemed to blend in.

We also found the small branch that had snapped off.

The sawn area was quite obvious as it was bright and flat.

We then looked at the sapling castle, it was the same apart from the level 2 branch had been burnt at the bottom.

We went back and got the footballs.

We had both neither performed any kind of aerobic training since the last tournament 3 months ago. We had been eating healthy but failing to supplement this with regular training. Benniboy couldn't find the football pump adapter, so some of the footballs were a bit flat. We went to the first goal with a net.

Nh took a shot at a penalty and immediatly almost fell over. We deployed to the far goal, where less people play so there would be less slippery mud. We practiced taking goals and being goalie. We did some practice tackling and some goalie reaction work.

After this intense training session we went back to the cars, put the balls away and deployed to the shops. While walking there we saw a mo-ped with a learner sign on it parked outside a house, this could be a treeswinger hideout. We got some food and walked back to the cars.

Nh got some pictures up of JC, Tom Tomsett and Johnny T. TT had the most change, he was soo skinny now. We conversed about the third treeswingers return and the stories he would tell, about the advenutres in the far away wilderness he had been exploring for 3 months now.

Nh is investing in a creaming whipping set. He will certainly enjoy whipping all the cream. It was now dark and really cold. We hope the next time we meet we will be reunited with the third musketeer.
