Crate Disassembly and Reassembly up Treehouse

Saturday 9 October 2010 - -

Benniboy finished Uni for the day and deployed to Park Street. He picked up Nh and we went to the forest. We quickly disassembled the crate, now that we were experienced. We used the club technique, of hammering the blocks out, then carefully clawing the planks apart. We wrapped them up in 2 batches of flags. We placed them near an entrance. Benniboy parked the car just outside, then we stealthily shoved them in the boot. We deployed to the wilder.

We got the first batch out nicely. But then a treeswinger cycled past and a car was waiting around. Luckily they left after a few minutes. Then Benniboy couldn't get the second batch out, after a little struggle, he got them out, then dashed into the wilder. We walked to the treehouse.

Nh ascended. Benniboy tied up the flags a bit more, we were then able to get all the planks up in 2 goes. It was getting dark, but we had Nh's headlight, it worked great considering it was from the Pound shop. We had kept some of the blocks from the crate, theses would be used to level out the roof/floors.

We unwraped the planks and started building the walls on each side of the steps. We made the structure, maled sure all the areas where you could fall off were covered. We then started filling in the gaps. It looked crazy, the crate planks are perfect, combined with the 65mls. We ran out of planks, we need at least one more crate. Now that the wilderness has run out of resources, we must go to the level of stealing.

We checked the skips on the way back. The closest skip has been replaced and is already full. The skip on the road has a crate in it and there is a crarte on the path. The new house has more boards on it. The time was about 8pm, there was a lot of traffic and treeswingers. It wasn't a good time to retrieve timber. So we called it a day. We would have to ask the close skip owners if we could take the crate, during the day.
