Roofs Up - That's Crazy Dude!!

Wednesday 6 October 2010 - -

Today the treeswingboys were ready to fix the level 2 roof/floor. We had successfully retrieved 2 strong boards from a skip last night, they were waiting at the top of the treehouse to be hammered in where they belonged. On the way to the treehouse, we saw the bridge, it had been vandalised. Most of the sticks were half on and snapped. This must have been the work of treeswingers.

We arrived at the treehouse and could see that the boards were still up there, through the gap in levlel ones floor. We quickly ascended the treehouse. Benniboy went up the steps to level 2. He carefully walked on the fence structure beams. We had made a strong triangle formation structure on the main wall side. Nh passed the larger board up, we placed it in the corner, it fit perfectly, just needed a block of wood on one side to level it. Then we put the other board next to it, it would slot it snug, due to the slots on the ends of the boards. We put the second board back down, so Benniboy could safely hammer the big board in. We used 65mls, they went in nicely, one in each corner, except the corner that needed a block. Benniboy tested it, it was very rigid and felt safe. To get the other board in, Benniboy removed a stick. Benniboy slotted the other board in, then hammered it tightly into the other board's slots. He then hammered it in, it also needed a block. We used to stick, it fit snug between the board and a triangle beam.

We had 2 boards up, covering a corner of the treehouse. Level 2 is progressing. We then decided to go and get some more fence planks. There was a long one, but it was hard to get, and muggles were coming. We managed to get a short one and some blocks.

We took them up the treehouse. Placed a block under the final corner of the big board. The floor was complete. We then went for dinner. We went to Subway, both got the sub of the day and 12 cookies. We ate it in the car park. Then deployed to Park Street.

We needed more planks, so decided we would get one more crate from the house. We parked in the usual spot. Then we quickly walked up, all the lights were off. Benniboy took it, while Nh was on lookout. Benniboy and Nh ran back to the forest. Just as we were getting around the corner a car came, Nh kept running, Benniboy switched the crate to the other side and walked casually. The car passed and we continued running. We entered the forest, Benniyboy had to throw the crate down the ditch, it make a loud noise. We left it far within the forest. That was it for today's wilder adventures.
