East Wall Well Under Construction - New Paint Tub

Sunday 28 November 2010 - -

We met around 1pm, it was very cold and icy. We entered the wilder with the tools and the harness. We found a blue marker pen at the base of the treehouse, this worried us, had someone been up there, writing stuff??

A well hidden treehouse

We ascended the cold tree. We realised it was one of our pens and we had left a plastic bag with pens and rollers in. It was considerably warmer in the confines of the treehouse, compared to being on the ground. Benniboy got some planks from level 2, it looked like it had snowed lightly on all the planks, but was just really cold frost. Some of the planks had frozen together.

A house in a tree from afar

We added some more planks to the east wall. We checked the paint and it was frozen solid. We decided to buy some more. We deployed to wilko's in the miata. We parked in the free place. We had to look out for Nh's mum and Ruhel. We got the paint Benniboy paid for it as he owed Nh from pizza hut and cinema. It was £6.68. Nh said the guy at the counter was from 2 years above us in school, don't think he recognised us.

East wall at start of day - no paint

Nh got a sub of the day, he need 47 more points to be eligible for a foot long sub. We deployed back to the wilder. We had to park in a different place, due to a clang of muggles. We took the new paint up the treehouse. Benniboy put on his harness, on level 2, a muggle and his son walked past and complemented the treehouse. He said "Did you make that all by yourself?" Benniboy said that Nh was below, shows the walls work.

We added some more planks the the right north corner. Then Benniboy painted them, while Nh painted inner east wall. Benniboy adjusted his harness and continued to paint the outer east wall. During this, there were a few treeswinger on the gold course, we could see them, but we don't think they could see us luckily. They looked like they were trying to sledge down the steep hill. The golf course had a layer of frost, so might be possible.

We finished painting and it was aroun 4.10pm. So we left it at that. We descended and admored our handy work.
