Level 2 First Structures up - Treehouse Doubles in Height

Wednesday 2 February 2011 - -

The treeswingers went to the wilder at 6.30pm. It was dark and slightly wet. We ascended the treehouse. Got some structures and fence planks onto level 2. Nh came up to level 2 for the first time.

The main priority was to get some safety planks up. The biggest gaps were the east and west walls. We would have to use the same structure technique we used for the level 1 walls, we can easily continue the previous walls up.

We used the new claw and club to hammer out some of the remaining fence panels. We hammered a fence panel in the middle of the west wall. We used the new club hammer, it easily knocked the 100mm nails in all the way.

We worked out we would only need 4 structure planks for each wall, compared to the 9 we used for each wall on level 1. We hammered the structures into the fence panels. We used triangle formation and hammered nails in both sides. We managed to get the 4 structures in the west wall. I was almost 8pm, so we packed up.

We looked at our work from below, the new wall structure show the outline for the height of level 2, it pretty much double the whole height of the treehouse. It is still lower compared to how high it would have ben if we hadn't lowered the floor.
